an elevated work platform suspended over the SCG playing surface

Sydney Cricket Ground

The Sydney Cricket Ground is one of the world’s most dynamic sporting venues and home to a whole host of sports, including AFL, Rugby League, Rugby Union, Soccer and Baseball, to name a few. Initially opened in 1886, the ground has undergone numerous redevelopments to keep up with modern stadiums, resulting in the venue that exists today.

As part of a recent redevelopment, APS designed, manufactured, erected and operated an APS Suspended Access Platform System to access the underside of the southern stand roof canopy so cladding could be installed.

A team of APS rope access riggers were on-site and successfully carried out the platforms’ rigging and relocation.
