The APS multi-skilled rope access, mechanical, and rigging teams were mobilised to a project to replace over 40, at-height piping spools in a difficult-to-access area of the plant facilities. APS personnel were required to conduct the lifting and rigging planning, then safely execute a complex cross haul across numerous traverses above the live plant, as there were no fixed lifting points or crane access.
Once the complex rigging activities were completed, the APS mechanical teams installed each section to the customer’s specification, then hydraulically tightened and tested each bolt. The project was completed safely, ahead of time and with a perfect safety record.
