APS Industrial Services has been recognised at the Australia’s Best Scaffolding Projects 2025 Awards, taking home the Best Civil Scaffolding Project of the Year for an innovative access solution delivered beneath the heritage-listed 1867 Merri Creek Bridge in Victoria.
The complex project required a bespoke scaffold design that preserved the integrity of the historic structure, ensured no mechanical fixings into the bluestone, and protected the sensitive waterway below. Working within tight access restrictions, the team successfully utilised alternative anchoring solutions, rope access and robust environmental controls, all while maintaining bridge traffic and preserving heritage values.
This award is not only recognition of smart engineering and safe project execution, but also a celebration of the APS Scaffolding Division and the people who make it exceptional.
Every member of the scaffolding team played a vital role in this success. The achievement is a testament to APS’s strong team culture, shared accountability, pride in workmanship and commitment to continuous improvement.
We are extremely proud of this project and what it represents. Our scaffolding division is built on teamwork, respect, and a genuine commitment to doing things the right way. This award belongs to everyone.
