The Elizabeth North Stage 2 Project has ended and is now ready to become the new Worldwide Headquarters of CSL. APS was a crucial player in the construction and fit-out works, providing a range of bespoke architectural and structural elements that add to the overall aesthetic and functionality of the building.
The scope of APS’s work was diverse, encompassing everything from galvanized structural steel plant room decks and handrails to high-end stainless steel, timber, and glass balustrades. The landscape fit-out and fixtures included:
- Custom-shaped planters and liners.
- Steel and wood tables and benches.
- A stainless steel custom BBQ.
- Architectural shade canopies.
- Aluminium windscreen fences.
The interconnecting structural steel staircases that connect the building’s 16 floors were another vital aspect of APS’s work. The stairs feature steel structures, integrated plate steel balustrades, internal cladding, and stainless steel handrails with integrated LED lighting. The exterior façade features a limestone cladding substructure, while the void balustrades feature stainless steel posts, glass, and timber handrails.
In addition to the structural elements, APS also installed a 4m high x 5m wide BMU access gate to the plant room and galvanized structural steel plant room decking and access platforms for the pharmaceutical manufacturing and research equipment. The auditorium seating structure was another essential part of the project, as were the various secondary steelworks that supported the auto doors, specialist pharmaceutical equipment, and large AV equipment and screens.
Finally, the gatic lid was acoustically rated and spring-mounted, ensuring that it provides excellent sound insulation and operates smoothly.
The Elizabeth North Stage 2 Project is a testament to the skills and expertise of the APS team, who have worked tirelessly to deliver a world-class facility that will serve as the new Worldwide Headquarters of CSL. The attention to detail, the use of high-quality materials, and the careful execution of every aspect of the project contributed to its success. We are proud to have been a part of this exciting project.
